Wood Pellet Boilers
Biomass Boilers are an eco-friendly and sustainable source of heating, and can considerably help to reduce your carbon footprint, boost your use of green energy, and reduce your reliance on fossil fuels.
Wood Pellets
Biomass Boilers burn wood pellets which are a by-product of the timber industry, and consist of unusable wood, branches, wood chippings, sawdust and other waste timber. The pellets are sold in bags or bulk depending on your storage facilities, and are automatically fed into the boiler for burning.
Wood pellets tend to be cheaper per kWh than traditional fuels like natural gas, LPG and heating oil. However they do require storage facilities, and are available in handy bags or can be delivered in bulk as required.
Biomass Boiler Size & Design
Biomass boilers are usually larger than an equivalent gas-fired boiler, and therefore require more room. They also require storage space for the wood pellets. Thus they are best suited to larger properties, and are probably ideal for use in rural locations where space isn't a problem, like farms and country estates.
Environmentally Friendly & Safe
Using wood waste products as fuel, Biomass Boilers are an eco-friendly, safe and convenient way to heat your home, and in operation are fairly similar to more traditional heating boilers. Most are fully automatic with advanced controls which regulate the volume of pellets burned to match the amount of heat you require.
Some of the latest wood burning boilers are also self-cleaning, which virtually eliminates the need for you to maintain or clean the boiler or remove old ashes.
